Test Flights Start At 15 May At New Istanbul Airport

The New İstanbul Airport  is one of the magnificent projects of modern Turkey. After the construction period had started on 1st May of 2015, less then three years, nearly %80 percent of the work has been completed.

The largest airport in the world!

The New İstanbul Airport, the official name has not been declared yet, having 200 million of passenger capacity per year, will be the biggest airport throughout the world after the completion. The airport will be constructed at four stages. The consructing company is planning to finish the first stage before the end of 2018.

Critical date: 15th May

Still more than 31.000 workers is being employed at the construction yard and more will be employed after the finish. It is forseen that the airport will give more than 100.000 employment opportunities.

The incredible work is going on three shifts. On 15th May first calibration flight will be held and it is clear that will be a milestone for the future of the work.

Investment cost: 10.2 billion dollars

According to the financial authorities,  the largest airport of the future will cost nearly 10.2 billion dollars for Turkish economy. The authorities also declare that the airport will bring nearly 200 million passengers per yearr, thousands of business and employment opportunuties as mentioned above. Considering the critical war period at Syria, The Third Airport of İstanbul will be one of the major points combining the flights through Middle-East and rest of the world.

On June the business sites is planned to be delivered to the future business partners.
