Istanbul’s second tallest tower sold to ICBC Bank for $ 594 M
Istanbul Tower 205, one of the city’s iconic buildings became on the property of ICBC Bank, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China after a transaction worth $ 594 M.
The building is Situated in Buyukdere Caddesi in Levent, the dynamic center of life and investment in Istanbul.
The 228 m height Tower hold the signature of the world pioneer architecture company SOM (Skidmore, Owings and Merill LLP, who designed international iconic buildings such as Burj Khalifa in Dubai and NY World Trade Center.
The office building constructed with 224000 Sqm spread on 61 floors, is special for its panoramic multiple views. In fact, it overlooks the Bosporus to the east, the Black sea to the north and the Golden Horn to the south.
It was officially announced that the Tower was purchased by ICBC Bank for the amount of $ 594 M ($550 M + VAT). We should remind that ICBC is the first Chinese Bank operating in Turkey since 2015. The introduction of Chinese banks in Turkish Financial field has facilitated the spread of Chinese investments and business transactions in many sectors such as tourism, energy, transportation and e commerce.
