New Subway Line Project to Izmir
A new subway line is planned in Izmir. This subway line is aimed to relieve transportation. This will be an important step in resolving the traffic congestion situation. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality issued a statement. According to this statement, the subway line will consist of 7 stations. The length of the subway line will be 7.2 kilometers. With this subway line, it is aimed to make transportation a considerable ease.
F. Altay - Narlıdere line was signed with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. It was issued to the international tender for the construction work of the project. The first phase of the transportation project will take place on 20 December 2017. It was stated that 6 foreign companies bought 30 files for the tender. Tender will be realized with the participation of many firms. It is said that participation in this tender is very intense. Construction will begin after the tender takes place. Those living in İzmir will get to subway line as soon as possible.
It is planned to start in the first quarter of 2018 after the bidding process, in which financial proposals will be evaluated following technical proposals for the viable project. Tihs project is scheduled to pass through Balçova, Çağdaş, Dokuz Eylül University Hospital, Faculty of Fine Arts, Narlıdere, Siteler and Kaymakamlık stops. It is targeted that the people will be least affected from the work done here. This means that during the construction of the subway, the line will be tunneled deeply so that the daily life is not adversely affected. In this way, it is targeted that the people will be affected the least.
